Teens and their mothers alike will enjoy this movie. Not only is it a great romance (who doesn’t like a good love story once in a while?), but it also has tons of action, friendship, and let’s not forget heartbreak. Twilight has become a huge phenomenon, and rightfully so. Edward Cullen (played by British-born Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) are this day and age’s Romeo and Juliet. The story picks up where Twilight left off. The sequel to the hugely popular Twilight movie follows Bella Swan, a 17-year-old teenager who’s in love with a vampire. After an almost deadly accident at the Cullen’s house, Edward decides his life isn’t good for her, so he leaves. Bella goes into a deep depression and the only person that can seem to help her is her best friend, Jacob Black (played by Taylor Lautner). Stephanie Meyer, the author of the very successful book series, throws us a curveball when we find out that Jacob is a werewolf, which just so happens to be the long-time enemy of the vampires. Bella nearly kills herself just so she can get visions of Edward and after a cliff-diving accident, Edward thinks Bella is dead and wants to die too. Bella finds out and has to convince Edward that she’s still alive. Can she make it in time? Watch this movie and find out.
The special effects in this movie are pretty astounding. It’s amazing how life-like the wolves look and the fight scenes; well, let’s just say they’re worth watching. Casting directors certainly picked the perfect cast for this movie. With performances by Robert Pattinson, who brilliantly brings the character of Edward Cullen to life and Kristen Stewart, who brings the intense chemistry between Edward and Bella in the book to the big screen, this movie will absolutely be a hit.
I enjoyed this movie very much. While it may seem like another sci-fi movie, it’s much more than that. It combines real-world situations with the not-so-real creating a movie that the whole family can enjoy. You may be thinking that it’s just another teen romance movie, but everything about the movie; the cast, the way it looks, and even the writing, makes those skeptics want to see it. After you see this movie, you’ll want to see it again and again.
