The Best of Restaurant Week

My Top 10 List, In Alphabetical Order

by Jessica Zweig – February 22, 2010

1.  Blackbird – Make like a bird and fly to Paul Kahan’s West Loop restaurant.

2.  Boka – Boca means mouth in Spanish.  And what Boka’s cookin’, we’re puttin’ in our mouth.

3.  The Capital Grille – Next time you’re able to eat at this upscale grille for $32, cows will be flying.

4.  C-House – This is on my ‘Best of’ list solely because of my self-proclaimed, ginormous crush on Chef Marcus Samuelsson.

5.  Frontera Grill – Check out Top Chef master, Rick Bayless, in action – over some margaritas, of course.  Ole!

6.  The Gage – Drink up, I love me an upscale Irish pub.

7.  Le Colonial – An oldie, but goodie – this Goldcoast restaurant is Le Best.

8.  Mirai Sushi – One roll of tuna here can cost the entire $32 of a Restaurant Week dinner.  Roll to Division Street for this one.

9.  NAHA – Aha! The opportunity to eat at the best contemporary-Mediterranean-American-Armenian restaurant in town.  Make sure to check out their Groupon ($40 for $80 worth of food ) this Friday and Saturday (the 26th and 27th).

10.  Piccolo Sogno – Piccolo Sogno means ‘Little Dream’ in Italian and after eating at this restaurant, you’ll know why.
