Summer Skin Saver

Fix your face from summer’s harsh damage

by Kim Peiffer – November 16, 2009

Summer is over, dear Cheekies. Yes, we know you know. But we are just as sad as you. Winter is upon us, and despite the cooler temps we can’t help but notice that our face, bodies and hair are somewhat damaged from a few months of laying at the beach, even if it seems like an eternity ago that we were sporting bikinis and sipping cool cocktails. Turns out we are paying the price now.

Freckles, sun spots, uneven skin tone, etc. You name it, we have it. So we were pumped up to discover that Kinerase (the luxe skincare line that Courtney Cox represents) debuted a new product to help us repair our skin.

Remove damage with Kinerase PhotoFacials Sun Damage Reversal System, a 3-step topical skincare system that replicates the sun damage reversal benefits of Photo Facials right at home. The system comes with Daily Exfoliating Cleanser, Day Moisturizer with SPF 50 and Night Moisturizer. $100, kinerase.com.

After a few weeks of usage (you have to be committed, so for those of us out there who are scared of commitment, this might not be the product for you…) we noticed fewer freckles and a more even skin tone.

At least we know that after all the guilt we felt from damaging our skin all summer long, there is reprise.

Besides, what are we supposed to do when a sandy beach, frozen drinks and cute men playing volleyball are awaiting us at North Avenue Beach… stay inside to protect our faces? I think not.
