Neighborhood bars come and go, but when Four Corners opens an inviting and quality establishment at an intersection near you, not only is it there to stay, but chances are you’ll become a regular.

Crossing, WestEnd, Gaslight, Sidebar, Kirkwood, Brownstone, Schoolyard and the double-decker Benchmark are the hotspots that make the Four Corners’ watering hole resumé one of the most impressive in the city. Each has their own unique story and vibe, and all are prime for a perfect night out. Whether it’s drinks in the beer garden before a Cubs game, dinner on a Wednesday, or a Saturday night out for a birthday dance party, these bars are always hoppin’. But aside from the drinks, each one of these spots has an indulgent little treat that’s as much of a gawk fest when it arrives as it is a feast: The Skillet Cookie.

This is an enormous, warm and gooey chocolate chip cookie cooked in a skillet and garnished with French caramel, Swiss chocolate and three scoops of vanilla bean ice cream. Topped with whipped cream, this infamous dessert can add a cherry on top (literally) to even the happiest of happy hours.

PS. Skillet cookies are served on the late-night menu. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

The fine print: Minimum tab required is $30. Can be used at all eight locations: Schoolyard Tavern, Gaslight Bar & Grille, Brownstone Tavern, Kirkwood Bar, Sidebar Grille, WestEnd Bar, Benchmark, Crossing Tavern.
