The Premier Nail Bar is located on the first floor of Macy’s on State Street tucked in between cosmetics and the Levenger designs department. In 2005, The Nail Bar first launched as a beauty bar that offered a variety of services ranging from make up applications and hair treatments to spa manicures and pedicures. But after a while the demand for nail services became so high that it prompted the decision to dedicate the Beauty Bar solely to nail treatments.
After being a staple at Macy’s for the past five years, the Premier Nail Bar brought celebrity nail technician Gloria Williams (she has worked on such A-list celebs as Jada Pinkett Smith, Kelly Rowland and Keri Russell) on board. Known throughout the city for her pamper parties, Gloria has launched a “Girls Night Out” event at Premier. The event takes place weekly – Tuesday through Saturday – from 10 am-7 pm, by appointment only. According to Gloria, “Girl’s Night Out” was created to “customize your pamper experience.” It is targeted towards ladies that want to prepare for an upcoming engagement, host a bridal shower, prep for a wedding or just have a “Girls Night.” The “Girl’s Night Out” appointment must be made for a group of three people or more and the package includes a $35 express manicure and pedicure, complimentary wine tasting at The Wine Shop on the lower level of Macy’s, a 10%-off coupon that can be used for any wine purchase at The Wine Shop and a gift bag from the Kiva Salon on the fifth floor.
