We hope you’re staying warm these days. Post holiday-hoopla, it’s sometimes difficult to appreciate the frigid, snowy weather without the anticipation of presents, eggnog and parties to see you through. Never fear, we’ve got some hot restaurants (check out our reviews of Duchamp and Emilio’s Tapas) and smokin’ bars (like Trader Vic’s and Martini Park) to keep you warm this week. We’ve got something else that may not warm your outer extremities, but it’ll definitely warm your heart. On Wednesday, in the Features section, we’ll reveal our first installment of Cheeky Does Charity. Cheeky’s also going to be heating up the chilly month of February. On the 1st, we’ll be hosting the Cheeky Bowl at Quartino. Enjoy a classy, sassy alternative to the sports bars of the past. There’ll be St. Germain cocktail specials, complimentary pizza, $1 meatball sliders and discounted wine to go around. RSVP to allison@cheekychicago.com. We also have a very, very special evening planned for you on Feb. 14th (yes, the dreaded and/or adored Valentine’s Day). Chef Dominique Tougne of Bistro110 will be cooking (and indulging in) a 4-course meal with the Cheeky ladies of Chicago. Space is very, very limited (after all, who doesn’t want a V-day date with a chef?), so be sure to purchase your tickets soon. Details to follow. Dessert included... There ya have it…plenty of ways to stay warm this winter. So, snuggle up with your hot chocolate (or hot toddy, your choice) and read this week’s Cheeky. That’s what warms us up. |
