Yesterday was the longest day of the year. What did you do?
We interviewed a certain Chicago celebrity named Joey Slotnick who will be hosting this Thursday's Madhatter's Ball at the Ritz Carlton, benefiting one of our favorite theatre companies in Chicago (or beyond), Lookingglass.
And speaking of theatre, we interviewed a certain Tony Award-winning actor over a year ago named Levi Kreis when he was in the original Chicago production of Million Dollar Quartet. Now, he's a Tony Award winner. Go, Levi.
We also laughed while we watched Get Him to the Greek and wrote a review.
And, of course, we're always trying to be charitable, so this week we're discussing one small way in which we can help plug the disastrous, disgusting, tragic, unnecessary oil spill in the Gulf with our Cheeky Does Charity article.
Oh, and one last thing. We interviewed Ellen DeGeneres. Booya.
Happy Summer!
Cheekily,

P.S. Don't forget to help us root on the Cubs (and the Sox) this Saturday night at Cheeky's Crosstown Classic event. $20 buys you all-you-can-drink Miller beer and passed apps galore. It's sure to be a home run. Click here to RSVP.
P.P.S. Even though summer’s here and school’s out, here’s a quick quiz: Did you know that cardio, if done wrong, can increase body fat? Strength training, if done properly, can be the most effective way to burn fat? That it's not just what to eat - but when? David Barton Gym has the answers and is giving Cheeky readers a crash course. $50 includes a one hour analysis and hands on session and a one week membership- a $300 value. That’s one sweet deal. Call 312.836.9127 and ask for Eric. |
