Moet & Chandon

An Oscar Celebration

by Stephanie Miller – February 20, 2009

Whether you’re hosting your own Oscar soirée or just relaxing on the couch as you pick apart celebrities and amplify their flaws, no time is a bad time for a glass of bubbly.

I love me some Champagne. And I especially love me a bottle of 1990 and/or 1995 Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage. No big deal.

Even though my fellow Cheeky girls, Erica and Jessica, will be co-hosting a fabulous Oscar bash at Hub 51, I’ll be channeling my inner movie star and will be heading to a Moët & Chandon hosted Oscar viewing party.

If you haven’t noticed, and it’s hard not to, Moët & Chandon is the exclusive Champagne of the 81st Annual Academy Awards. In fact, it’s the first time the Academy has dubbed a liquor brand as the exclusive Champagne for the Oscars and pre-Oscars events. Talk about product placement. Moët bottles were in nearly every camera shot at the Golden Globes and all of the Globe winners were photographed signing magnum bottles post-win.

But now it’s time for the big show.

For those of you looking to entertain at home this Sunday, check out the yummy Champagne cocktails below. Drink one and you’ll feel good. Drink two and you’ll feel fabulous, daaaaarhling.
