Get Your Mug Looking Fab

Beat Winter Skin

by Kim Peiffer – December 22, 2009

As the new year approaches, make a resolution to get your best skin yet.

As 2010 rears its pretty little head, we can’t help but wonder; how can we make ourselves look our very best? And since our mug is something that the world sees everyday, we thought: why not start there? We turned to one of our favorite aestheticians, a woman whose old world experience gives us glowing skin every time. Luba Poszewanyk with The Spa @ Equinox gives us her tips for achieving your best skin.

1. Every morning wash your face with Chamomile, Peppermint or Linden tea and follow with a moisturizer (these all have natural essential oils that will help keep moisturize in your skin).

2. Use an organic scrub on face once a week and on full body once a month.

3. Vitamins (A, B complex, C, D, and E) are vital during the winter season. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Before breakfast, have a warm cup of water with half a lemon and a teaspoon of honey; the acid in the lemon cleans and activates the system while Vitamin C strengthens the immune system.

4. Use a moisturizer for your entire body in the morning and in the evening before you go to bed.

5. Always be sure drink 64-ounces of water per day.

6. Have a facial once a month with a professional aesthetician.
