To help get you started, we have a fun schedule of fitness, nutrition and mind-body classes and events for you to try starting right after work on Friday, August 31 and lasting through Monday September 3.
Day One: Friday, August 31

Start the month off right with Whole Foods‘ 30-day healthy lifestyle program, Kickstart Your Healthy Kickoff. The $30 fee includes unlimited nutrition classes, demo cooking classes plus fitness and yoga classes for the whole month of September. Registration required.
Flywheel Chicago: Gold Coast, 1pm
Now that you’ve got a game plan, get cracking with a rockin’ 45-minute Fly 45 Cycle Ride at Flywheel, Chicago’s hottest spin studio! Reserve your bike online ahead of time.
Chicago SummerDance: Grant Park, anytime between 6pm and 9:30pm
Get your groove on at one of Chicago SummerDance dance classes in Grant Park! This night, get free tango dance lessons by Gregory Day and Tommye Giacchino to live Nuevo Flamenco music by Guitarra Azul!
Day Three: Sunday, September 2
The Chopping Block: Logan Square, 10am-12:30pm
Take the Knife Skills class to sharpen your veggie-cutting acumen for just $40. You also get to take the veggies and herbs you cut home with you to put into a stir fry for dinner!
Farmers’ Market: Logan Square at Logan Blvd. and Milwaukee Ave., open 7am-2pm
Farmers’ Markets are a perfect way to get motivated to start eating better. Grab some fresh fruit, veggies and meats to cook tomorrow after your workout!
Barre Bee Fit: Gold Coast, 1pm
If you’re looking to be sore for a few days, Barre Burn will definitely hit you in all the right places! This whole-body workout takes place in a 95-degree room and helps to detoxify your body!
L.A. Boxing: South Loop, noon
Work with a professional fighter in this 60-minute all-out Cheeky boxing workout. Learn the moves, practice with shadow boxing, hit the heavy bags, get cut with some killer abs and walk away with enough energy to last all day long!
