Say Goodbye to Workouts of the Past and Hello to the Future of Fitness!

Between being able to go online anywhere you want without having to dial-up and the ability to upload photos straight to Facebook from your phone, it would only go to assume that there would be super fun, super easy ways technology can help better our fitness. Last week, Las Vegas hosted the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Along with some ridiculously cool camera and TV technology, the show featured some new ways to help you get fit, fast. Three Cheeky favorites from the show are Withings Wi-Fi Body Scale, BodyMedia’s® Body Monitors and iBike’s® Cycling Computer and Power Meters.

Still feeling a little bit soft around the edges after the holidays? Well, try not to throw your scale out the window just yet. Your scale could be the very thing that helps you whittle your middle. Like some scales, Withings Wi-Fi Body Scale calculates your weight and your lean to fat mass. However, this snazzy scale also has Wi-Fi capability allowing you to upload your results to your iPad, iPad2, iPhone, Android or computer. For added support, you can share your results on Facebook, Twitter or have it sent to a friend, personal trainer or an online fitness program like Fitbit.com. Get started by heading to the gym and by skipping the Girl Scout cookies this year!

You may own a pedometer or even a Body Bugg®, but the updated version is so much better! BodyMedia’s FIT Monitor comes in three cool armbands: Advantage, Core and the Armband. They chart your activity levels with things like calorie expenditure, your daily calorie consumption and your sleep patterns. Results can be charted online with the help of nutrition logs at BodyMedia’s online Activity Manager. The program goes beyond just counting your steps. It measures your movement with a three-axis Accelerometer and it measures calorie expenditure through multiple heat sensors when you’re sweating like crazy!

And for anyone who wants to know what their speed and power is while riding a bike, iBike Sports can take you far! iBike Sports Company offers several different bike monitors that measure your power, calorie expenditure, speed and distance. You can also do a real-time fitness test that will help you determine your starting point. From there, you can download workout programs that are based off your fit test results. Like Withings Wi-Fi Body Scale and the BodyMedia FIT monitor, iBike monitors can also track and record your results from your own phone!
