The Gold Coast Gets a Feast From Bucktown

Feast has been a longtime favorite of locals in Bucktown for trendy, contemporary dishes, but its newest location in the Gold Coast offers a different menu – and a different vibe – for locals and city tourists alike.

What first draws you in during the warmer seasons is the restaurant’s beautiful, wrap-around sidewalk seating, perfect for people watching. It’s not overcrowded and can accommodate rather large groups, something that separates it from other restaurants with outdoor seating. But when cooler temperatures won’t allow it, the dining room in the restaurant is serene and cozy, with a separate bar for more casual fare.

The menu here is perfect for a filling dinner or appetizers to share for the table during happy hour. The dip plate is a personal favorite with three homemade dips: spinach and artichoke, roasted red pepper and hummus, served with freshly baked pita triangles. For a main course, the waiter recommended the turkey burger and their special chopped salad, both delicious. But the most appealing part of their menu is the appetizer section, filled with delicious classics including crab cakes served with a corn salsa and spicy dipping sauce.

Something that also sets the restaurant apart from others in the popular dining area is that it serves brunch, lunch and dinner, with gluten-free options on every menu. Their brunch menu is easily the favorite among restaurant-goers with options to please everyone. Crab benedict with cheddar-jalapeno cornbread, oatmeal pancakes with walnut brittle and build-your-own omelets keep customers coming back every weekend.

And, of course, there’s the wine. The restaurant has an extensive wine list, with wines from places all over the world, ranging from Oregon to Germany. Under each wine on the menu, there’s even a flavor and texture description to better help you make a decision. Bottles are available for takeout at half the menu price.

Feast is the perfect place for brunch, for casual afternoon eats or for an elegant sit-down dinner. Basically, it’s perfect for whatever you’re looking for and has something to offer everyone. And now with two locations, it’s even easier to have a fabulous feast.
