Visionary Awards: Legacy of Hope at Salvage One

June 13, 2012
6pm - 10pm
1840 W. Hubbard St., Chicago

We believe that all women deserve the chance at a happy and Cheeky lifestyle. So this week, we’re celebrating those who give women the opportunity to lead their lives just the way they always envisioned.

Rape Victim Advocates (RVA) is hosting its annual gala, the Visionary Awards – the theme is Legacy of Hope.

This year, RVA is honoring its founder, Dr. Natalie Stephens, who passed away this past January. In her honor, RVA is presenting the Visionary Award to Tom and Mary Seeberg, the parents of Lizzy Seeberg, the St. Mary’s student who committed suicide last year after accusing a Notre Dame football player of sexual assault, in addition to past and present volunteers that have given their time to help victims of sexual assault over the last 38 years.

Emceeing this year will be Windy City Live co-host Val Warner. The gala will also feature an appearance by Martha Turner, Dr. Stephens’ daughter.

Advance sale tickets are $95 and available online. Limited tickets will also be available at the door for $110.

This is a night celebrating the individuals who provide hope and a brighter future for the victims who just need a helping hand. So be thankful for what you have and give a little back to those less fortunate. We’ll be there, and we hope you’ll join us.
