Urban Union Grand Opening
Executive Chef/Partner Michael Shrader and Partner Jason Chan have announced that Urban Union will officially welcome its first diners on Wednesday, January 25 at 4:30pm. Located in the heart of Chicago’s Little Italy neighborhood, the restaurant will open with dinner and brunch service, followed by the launch of lunch this spring.
Placing the spotlight on preparations utilizing the restaurant’s wood-burning oven, Urban Union will present a European approach to dining, centered on rustic, global flavors. The menu is divided into four categories: Seafood, Pasta & Dumplings, Meats & Such and Vegetables & Friends. And, because every Cheeky girl loves her dessert, Pastry Chef Mitsu Nozaki ‘s menu of “Sweet Endings” will provide a complementary finish to your dining experience.
Plus, Urban Union’s beverage program will feature an extensive wine menu, offering 150 vintages that include 30 wines-by-the-glass and six varietals on tap, as well as 10 handcrafted, classic European cocktails featuring fresh mixers and housemade garnishes, as well as five bottled beers from small-batch producers.
