January 21, 2011It’s always inspiring when people who have found great success in their life use their influence to give back to those less fortunate, and that’s why I’m such a fan of Chicago Bulls point guard C.J. Watson. In his first season with the Bulls, C.J. has been moved to use his non-profit organization The Quiet Storm Foundation (QSF) to help make a positive impact in the lives of Chicago’s youth. QSF was founded by Watson and his family in Las Vegas in 2009. In Nevada, QSF provided positive recreational opportunities for underpriviliged youth through basketball camps hosted by Watson. The AXE Music Tour Brings Rock to Chicago
October 29, 2010Coming off the star-studded Weezer concert in Los Angeles, the Windy City got its turn to rock last Tuesday, October 12, as O.A.R. performed for the AXE Music “One Night Only” concert series. Hailing from Ohio State University, this was O.A.R.’s first time ever performing at the intimate concert venue, The Metro, and they didn’t disappoint. Playing some of their classic and most well known songs such as “Crazy Game of Poker” to their new hits including “Shattered,” the audience was singing along to every lyric.
