Leah Caplanis is the 31-year-old CEO of SOCIAL Enjoyments, a deliciously refreshing, sparkling sake line hitting Chicago area Whole Foods, Mariano’s and The Goddess and Grocer shelves this month! Not only is this entrepreneur a sharp gluten-free cookie (she just finished her MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business), but Leah is also a survivor. She was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2010. Instead of complacency, Leah turned what could’ve been a setback into a successful startup. It’s time to kick winter to the curb and welcome the summer season. Summer 2014, we are so ready for you! Last Thursday evening, Cheeky girls and guys celebrated the start of the summer with XRT’s Kick-Off Your Summer event at the Park Grill at Millennium Park. The finest rock radio station’s big shebang reminded us all why we endure the cold Chicago winters.
