This weekend may be the most upheaval Chicago’s seen in a while. Why? Because the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) Summit is coming to town, and some people aren’t happy about it. If history repeats itself, things could get ugly: In 1999 and 2009, similar meetings brought cities like Seattle and Strasbourg into chaos; protesters ran amuck breaking windows and starting fires. While I don’t advocate violence and while I’m hoping that protesters can get their …
Lollapalooza has wrapped up its shenanigans for the ninth year in a row at our very own Grant Park, and we’re still recovering from all the music madness. The bands were amazing, the weather perfect and the VIP parties totally bumpin’. Our fave VIP party you ask? Definitely the ck one color Lounge at the Hard Rock Hotel. The best Chicago hotspots bring out the big guns on Lolla weekend to … Read more
In the latest edition of #FirstWorldProblems, I think we can all agree compiling a summer concert series is really effing annoying? When AT&T U-verse® announced a FREE Lady Antebellum concert last Friday, May 31, I was so in. The special event was to celebrate the release of the band’s new album GOLDEN, taking place at Millennium Park’s Pritzker Pavilion. There’s nothing like twanging along with your favorite country musicians with a cold beer in hand and … Read more
