I am so very excited to report that the holiday season is upon us once again. For many, this brings a groan of agony, but for me it is my favorite time of the year.

We all know I love any reason to celebrate – and for the next two months the parties, family and friends, decor projects, shopping marathons and more stack up like hotcakes. I have to admit: I live for this six-week stretch all year long.

Most exciting – the windows come alive with breathtaking displays of magic, wonder, glittering frosted glass, gorgeous new gifts and much more. I could walk the streets of Chicago, New York, Paris and London for weeks on end just soaking them all in.

Here are my favorite Gold Coast windows today: Bloomingdale’s (I want to curl up in that overstuffed chair, wrapped up in that faux fur and read cover to cover every classic book in the stack) and Anthropologie (I had to stop the car and take a closer look – the snow drifts are so lifelike).
