With summer in full swing in Chicago, it only means one thing: the city has come alive! The warmer weather brings everyone out of hibernation and into the sunshine, on the lakefront, on top of roofs, inside patios, at the ballgames and, of course, all over those glorious parks. If one park tops any Chicagoan’s list, it’s got to be Millenium Park. This Wednesday evening, eight amazing Chicago chefs are partnering up to give you one more reason to get outside and, well, eat! And what’s even sweeter, it’s all in the name of charity.
Chefs on the Grill is a gastronomical grilling event to benefit The Grant Park Conservancy. The alfresco event will be held at The Plaza at Park Grill with various Chicago chefs participating in the grilling competition. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with the chefs while they’re grilling and then vote on the best-grilled dish of the evening. Guests will also enjoy food, drink and special take-away prizes all under Chicago’s famous “bean.”
Participating Chefs include Chef Bernie Laskowski of Park Grill, Chef Cliff Ostrowski of China Grill, Chef Michael Fiorello of Mercat a la Planxa, Chef Greg Darrah of Rhapsody, Chef Michael Cisternino of Tavern at the Park, Chef Dirk Flanigan of The Gage, Chef Phillip Foss of Lockwood Restaurant and Chef Cesar Reyes of The Chicago Firehouse.
The event begins at 6 and ends at 8:30 pm. Tickets are $55 in advance, or $60 at the door, rain or shine. Click here to get yours now.
