Ahhh, how I adore Lizzie Fortunato’s dreamy jewelry. If I had unlimited funds, I’d be sporting this line with everything. Twins Elizabeth and Kathryn began making their distinctive jewelry while in college at Duke University and it wasn’t long before they’d acquired a fan club. Featured in Glamour, Marie Claire, and Elle, Lizzie Fortunato is based on the idea that high end doesn’t have to mean diamonds. Gold chains and suede mixed with crystal chandelier pieces, chunks of turquoise, African beads, French tulle, you get the idea. The opulent necklaces and earrings are ideal for a woman who likes to wear jewelry that’s informal and funky.

Always intrigued by each person’s unique way of living and their arts and designs, Margaret Harris became inspired to create one of a kind items that include furniture, carpets, and jewelry. Her unique jewelry is what immediately caught my eye, and lucky for us Chicago girls, just recently debuted at Chicago’s Barneys New York. The chunky charm necklaces and bracelets make special keepsakes as each amulet and charm is collected from all over the world and is meant to bring the wearer protection and luck. The majority of the charms are antiques, and have been used and loved by a previous owner, so no piece can be replicated exactly. Special orders can be placed, as one recent customer desired a “journey” necklace that represented her ethnic and religious background. Prices range between $300-$24,000. Upon wearing MJH, I can bet someone will ask you, “Where did you get that?”
