Winter is officially here and if you’ve been waiting all summer for the seasons to change so you can wax up your board and grab your lift tickets, then I have just the event for you. Black Ice Snowfest Weekend takes place the last weekend in February and founder Brandon Byrd has pulled out all of the stops for the second annual event. Brandon – who admits that, although he skis, he’s not an “avid skier” – came up with the idea for Black Ice when he noticed that there was a void for “winter based events for younger people.” It was then that he decided to pull from his celebrity contacts and get a few brands to sponsor a fun-filled weekend on the slopes.
After the success of Black Ice last year, Brandon decided to bring the event back; this time he’s hosting it at nearby Wisconsin Dells. From February 25-27, Brandon (along with KING and XXL Magazine) have invited R & B crooners Jeremih and J. Holiday to host the 400+ guests who will be taking over the Dells for the occasion. The weekend kicks off with a welcome party followed by an indoor pool party hosted by celebrity DJ Kid Capri. On Saturday, the hospitality suite will open up for Snowfest guests. There will also be a day party for those who opt out of the outdoor sporting activities and want to hang indoors. The movie lounge opens on Saturday, as well as a cigar lounge featuring Cohiba Cigars. And Saturday evening, Jeremih and J. Holiday will host the grand finale party with DJ Jamal Smallz.
Black Ice trip packages are available online for purchase. The standard package covers a two-night stay at the Dells, access to all of the weekend events and all inclusive food and beverages during Snowfest. See you on the bunny slope!
